Assam Pension Scheme 2024
Under the Assam Pension Scheme started by the Assam State Government, the government employees of the state will be provided pension facility after retirement. Through this scheme of the state government, the beneficiaries will be provided the benefit of pension with various facilities, such as:- GIS, GPF, leave encashment DCRG, etc. With the help of this scheme, all such regular government employees of the state who have retired after continuous service of minimum 10 years will be provided pension as financial security. Rate of Interest On Pension Loan and Pension Amount
Under this scheme, the beneficiary has to fill the prescribed form and submit it to the office of the Accountant General or Director of Pensions. After the submission of the form, the pension of the beneficiary will be approved through the authority. One third of the basic pension is still the limit for conversion of pension except judicial and AIS service. Objectives of Assam Pension Scheme
The main objective of Assam Pension Scheme 2024 is to provide pension in the form of financial assistance to the retired government employees of the state of Assam. Through this scheme, the beneficiary employees will become financially capable with the help of pension and will be able to live their life without being dependent on anyone. The amount of pension provided under this scheme of the state government will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. Beneficiary employees will have to submit all the necessary documents in the concerned department before six months of their retirement to get the benefit of this scheme. Benefits and Features of Assam Pension Scheme
- This scheme has been started to provide financial security to the government employees of the state after retirement.
- In order to get pension to the beneficiary employees, they will be required to submit all the necessary documents to the concerned department six months before their retirement.
- Under the Assam Pension Scheme, the pension of teaching and non-teaching employees of government schools and PRI pension employees will be approved by the Director of Assam and the pension of state government pensioners will be approved by the Accountant General of Assam.
- If the beneficiary employee has rendered more than 10 years but less than 25 years of service, then he will be given a proportionate pension amount.
- Under this scheme, at present, one-third of the basic pension, excluding judicial and AIS service, has been fixed as the limit for commutation of pension.
- The amount of full retirement pension will be provided to the beneficiary after rendering maximum qualifying service i.e. maximum 25 years of service.
- Under this scheme of Assam State Government, the beneficiary employees will also get the facility of pension including GIS, GPF, leave encashment DCRG etc.
- Such regular government employees who have rendered minimum 10 years of continuous service will be provided pension in the form of financial assistance under this scheme.
- Under this scheme, a pensioner will become eligible for retirement pension after rendering a maximum of 25 years of qualifying service.
- If an application for commutation of pension is made by the pensioner after one year from the date of his retirement, in such a situation, it will be mandatory for the Government servant taking voluntary or compulsory retirement from service to appear before the Medical Board as per the Pension Rules.
- For all such pensioners who have retired before January 1, 2013, the interest rate on pension loan has been fixed at 4.75% and for pensioners who have retired after January 1, 2013, the rate of interest on pension loan has been fixed at 8%.
- Under this scheme, the maximum limit of retirement pension for the beneficiaries is Rs 65000 and the minimum limit of family pension is Rs 5500.

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Pension Scheme

- The applicant must be government servant
