Objectives of AP Jnanabhumi Scholarship 2024
The main objective of Jnanabhumi Scholarship 2024 is to provide scholarships to the SC, ST, OBC and handicapped students of Andhra Pradesh state. Types of Scholarships covered under Jnanabhumi Scholarship
- Scholarship for SC/ST/BC/PWD Students- This scholarship is provided to all the students of the state who are studying at pre-matriculation level. Apart from this, all the students of the state who are studying in class 5th to 10th, all those students will be given the benefit of this scheme, on the contrary, the benefit of this scheme will be given only to SC, ST, B, C disabled people of the state. Only category students will be able to get the benefit of this scheme. Those students who are studying in schools run by the government and local bodies, at present only those students will be given the benefit of this scheme.
- Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST/BC/Minority/Kapu/EBC/Divyang Students- This scholarship is given to all the students who are studying at post matric or post secondary level of education , The benefits of this scheme can be availed by the students of SC, ST, minority, Kapu, differently abled and BC community of the state. Jnanabhumi Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Various eligibility criteria have been prescribed by the state government for both post matric scholarship and pre-matric scholarship, following are the eligibility criteria:-
- Day scholar students who are studying in a college affiliated hostel or department affiliated hostel can apply under this scheme.
- Students who are pursuing Polytechnic/ITI/Degree/Above level courses from Government/Aided/Private College affiliated to Govt. University/Board can apply
- To get the scholarship, the applicant must have 75% total attendance.
- The annual income of the applicant’s family should not exceed Rs 2.50 lakh.
- The total land owned by the family of the intending student should not exceed 10 acres wet or 25 acres dry or 25 acres combined.
- There should not be any government employee or pensioner in the applicant household other than sweepers.
- The family of the applicant should also not own any four wheeler except taxi, tractor, or auto.
- Apart from this, no person in the applicant’s family should be an income tax payer.

Pre-Matric Scholarship
- Citizens wishing to apply under this should belong to the SC / ST / BC / Disabled community.
- The annual income of the applicant should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
- SC/ST/BC/PWD community applicants who are studying in class 5th to 10th can apply under this.
- Applicants from the BC community can apply only if the student is studying in class 9th or 10th.
Eligible for Post Matric Scholarship
- Such students who are studying in a private or deemed university will not be provided the benefit of this scheme.
- Apart from this, such applicants who are doing correspondence or distance education courses are also not eligible to get the benefit of this scheme.
- State students who are admitted under Management/Spot Quota cannot apply for this scholarship.
