This scheme has been started with the objective of providing health security to government employees. Identification of Beneficiaries under Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme
Beneficiaries under Jyoti Sanjeevani Yojana will be identified through the policy number of the Government Insurance Department, this identification will be linked to the HRMS database of the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms. The government has allowed all government employees and dependents of beneficiaries of Suvarna Arogya Suraksha Trust to access the database for the purpose of identification, including wife or husband, father or mother (including stepmother) of a government employee All those people will come, mostly related with a government employee but the total monthly income of that related should not exceed Rs 6000, children dependent on the beneficiary (including stepchildren and adopted children) under this scheme. Benefits & Features of Jyothi Sanjeevini 2024
- Cashless treatment of government employees will be done in the hospitals covered under Jyothi Sanjeevini.
- Employees will be provided with JSS cards which can be used for treatment in the hospital.
- About 499 types of surgeries related to heart disease have been listed under this scheme.
- Apart from this, diseases like neurology, burns, cancer, kidney disease, children’s disease and accidents etc. come under this scheme.
- These facilities are available in both selected government and private hospitals.
- This scheme is only for the government employees of Karnataka state and their dependents.
- Those government employees whose basic salary is Rs 16000/- per month will get treatment in the general ward.
- Government employees whose basic salary is from Rs.16001/- to Rs.43200/- per month will get treatment in semi-private ward.
- Employees with basic pay more than Rs 43201/- will have to get their treatment done in a private ward.
- The State Government has empowered the Arogya Suraksha Trust to identify the beneficiaries of the scheme.
- The trust will access the data base of government employees and members of their families.
- Beneficiaries under this scheme will get medical benefits up to Rs 1.5 lakh per annum.

Eligibility Criteria of Jyothi Sanjeevini Scheme
- Those persons who are working in an aided autonomous institute without KGID number linked to HRMS database are not eligible to apply under this scheme.
- To get the benefit of this scheme, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Karnataka.
- The applicant under this scheme should be a serving state government employee
- Pensioners have been kept out of this scheme.
- Under this scheme, the police department also cannot apply under this scheme because there is a separate health insurance scheme for police employees which is known as Police Arogya Bhagya Yojana.
