Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana
On 1st April 1989, Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana – SGRY was started by the Government of India by combining the Employment Assurance Scheme and Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yojana. Which has been merged in the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act in the year 2016. Through this, a target has been set to provide food to all the applicants of rural areas as well as to provide employment. Objective of Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana – SGRY
A commendable scheme has been started for the purpose of providing employment benefits to all the poor living in the country as well as the citizens of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes by giving priority. Implementation of Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana
- Under this scheme, a committee will be formed at the district and state level for monitoring and issuing guidelines.
- Ministry of Rural Development at the Central level and Department of Rural Development at the State level to prepare monthly and annual progress reports.
- Apart from this, the implementation of Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana will also be monitored by the Rural Development Department.
Some Important Information Related to Sampoorna Gramin Rozgar Yojana
- Under this scheme, the wages will be paid partly in cash and partly in fertilizer money to the beneficiaries.
- The wages provided through Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana (SGRY) will not be less than the minimum wages fixed by the authorities.
- Workers will be provided a minimum 5 kg of compost money as part of wages.
- The rest of the wages will be paid in cash.
- It is mandatory to make a minimum 25% cash payment under this scheme.

- Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana has been started by the Central Government to benefit the citizens of India.

- The Central Government has created Sampoorna Grameen Rozgar Yojana – SGRY by combining Employment Assurance Scheme and Jawahar Gram Samridhi Yojana.

Eligibility Criteria

- Only the economically weaker citizens living below the poverty line can get the benefit of this scheme.
