Khelo India Youth Games 2024 – KIUG
The first edition of Khelo India Youth Games was held on 31 January 2018 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Delhi. The second edition of the event was held in Pune Maharashtra from 9 January to 20 January 2019. The 3rd edition of Khelo India Youth Games was held in Guwahati from 18 January to 30 January. This time Khelo India Youth Games will be organized in partnership with Indian School Games Federation of India Olympic Association and Assam as host state Haryana. These games will be held in Panchkula after the Tokyo Olympics to be held next year. The fourth season of Khelo India Youth Game will be hosted by Haryana. Objective of Khelo India Youth Games -KIUG
The Khelo India program has been started by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for the development of sports and sportspersons in the country. 143 Centres to be opened under Khelo India Youth Games 2024
The Sports Ministry, Government of India has decided to open 143 centers of Khelo India Youth Games 2024. This decision has been taken to hone the talents of all the players. The government has spent Rs 14.30 crore to open these centres. These centers will be opened in Maharashtra, Mizoram, Goa, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. All these centers will have facilities of any kind of sports.
