The main objective of SC Post Matric Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to the scheduled caste students of the country to get further education from class 12th onwards. Apart from this, there are such citizens in the country who belong to Scheduled Castes and their economic condition is also weak and they are not able to finance their education, keeping in mind such students, this scheme has been implemented by the Central Government. Benefits and Features of SC Post Matric Scholarship
- The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC has been started by the Central Government to provide financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste students of the country.
- This scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme, besides this scheme will be started through the state government administration.
- Apart from this, financial assistance will be provided by the central government to all the scheduled caste students of the country through this scheme.
- The benefit of this scheme started by the Central Government is provided financial assistance only at the post-matriculation level.
- Apart from this, students will continue their education under this scheme despite financial constraints.
- Under this, benefits can be obtained only by the citizens of the country for getting education only from the country of India.

Eligibility Criteria of SC Post Matric Scholarship
To get the benefit of any scheme launched by the Central and State Government, citizens have to fulfill the eligibility set by them. Only after that they are provided the benefit of the scheme, similarly some eligibility has been set by the state government under the Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC, which is as follows:-
- The person wishing to apply under this must be a resident of India.
- Apart from this, it is mandatory for the applicants to be studying at the post-matriculation level under this scheme.
- It is mandatory for the applicant to belong to the Scheduled Caste category, only then they will be considered eligible under this scheme.
- Government scholarships will be provided to top students as per merit in case the applications are more than the available slots.
- Apart from this, only 2 students through Scheduled Caste citizens are eligible to get benefits under the scheme.
- The annual income of the parents of the student applying under the SC Post Matric Scholarship should not exceed Rs.800000.
- If for any reason the student fails to be promoted to the next semester or class, the same scholarship will not be awarded.

Procedure to Apply Online Under SC Post Matric Scholarship
- First of all you have to visit the official website of the National Scholarship Portal. After this the homepage of the website will open in front of you.
- On the homepage of the website, you have to click on the option of New Registration. Now you have to read all the rules and regulations and tick the declaration.
- Now you have to click on the option of Continue, after that a new page will be displayed in front of you.
- This will be a form, in which you have to enter the details of all the information asked like- your name, date of birth, mobile number, gender etc. Now you have to click on the Register option.
- After this, you have to login through the registration ID, now you have to click on the option of application form icon.
