Swasthya Sathi Scheme 2024
The health scheme has been started by the Chief Minister of West Bengal state, Mamta Banerjee to overcome the health related problems of its citizens. It has been named West Begal Swasthya Sathi Cashless Health Scheme. By applying in which the citizens living in the state can demand financial assistance money for treatment by their government. The government of West Bengal will provide financial health assistance of Rs 5 lakh to each beneficiary family through this health scheme. - Swasthya Sathi Scheme was announced earlier in 2016, but it was officially launched on 30th December 2016.
- Apart from this on December 1, 2020, it has been announced by the state government that this scheme should be extended to the entire public interest so that every citizen of the state can take advantage of the complete cashless health scheme.

Objective of Swasthya Sathi Scheme 2024
For the purpose of keeping all the citizens living in the state healthy, the Government of West Bengal has started the WB Swasthya Sathi Cashless Health Scheme. Under which every citizen living in the state, irrespective of the situation, in any profession, whatever be the economic condition, he can get the benefit by making his application. This health scheme will be implemented by the State Level Implementation Committee i.e. SLIC, along with its effective implementation will be monitored by the Swasthya Sathi Samiti body. - Along with this scheme the Government of West Bengal has also started the ‘Duare Sarkar‘ campaign, which means ‘Government at your doorstep’.
- The purpose of this campaign is to give benefits of 12 schemes launched by the government to all the people, for which ‘Duare Sarkar Camp’ will be organized.
Benefits and Features of Sathi Cashless Health Scheme
- Swasthya Sathi Cashless Health Scheme 2024 has been launched by the Chief Minister of West Bengal state, Mamta Banerjee.
- The sole purpose of which is to provide financial health assistance to all citizens living in the state without discrimination.
- Through this scheme, along with financial health assistance, insurance cover will also be provided to the citizens.

- National Insurance Company, Oriental Insurance Company and United India Insurance Company will provide insurance assistance to citizens under this scheme.

Eligibility Criteria
No specific criteria have been kept for the applicants for Swasthya Sathi Cashless Health Scheme 2024. All interested citizens residing in the state can apply to take advantage of this scheme, but while applying they need to keep in mind the following things:-
- The applicant citizen must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal.
- Only women heads of families residing in the state can apply for Swasthya Sathi Smart Card.
- If the citizen has taken benefit of any other health care scheme, then he cannot register himself for this scheme.

Permanent citizens living in West Bengal can apply under this scheme. The registration process and getting a smart card under Swasthya Sathi Scheme is an offline process. For which citizens will have to register themselves through “Duare Sakar Camps” and from the “nearest medical center”. All citizens can follow the simple offline process mentioned below:-

Note :- Once the registration for the scheme is done you will receive an SMS alert on your registered mobile number with the district code and a serial number. Along with this unique registration number will also be generated. After that you will receive your smart card within a week.

Download COVID-19 Request Form

- After this you have to enter the details of Swasthya Sathi URN and Mobile Number on this new page. Now you have to click on the option of “Get OTP ”.
