Amount released so Far under AP Jagananna Chedodu Scheme
Under the Jagananna Chedodu Scheme, the Andhra Pradesh government has so far allocated an amount of about 583.78 crores among the beneficiaries. The benefit of this scheme will be available to such laundryman, tailors, barbers and other citizens who lost their jobs in covid-19 or could not continue smoothly. The state government will directly transfer the amount to the beneficiaries in their bank accounts. The government will identify the beneficiaries and shortlist them under a survey. A list of eligible applicants will be prepared from amongst the shortlisted beneficiaries, village and ward secretaries.
