Implementation Process under AICTE PG Scholarship

  • First of all, you have to qualify the GATE exam, after that the applicant has to fill the application form to get the benefit of AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme.

Eligibility for AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme

  • It is mandatory for citizens who want to get the benefit of this scheme to be a native of India.
  • GATE/GPAT should be qualified by the interested applicants.
  • Along with this, the details of the bank account of the applicant should also match with the basic creditworthiness of the applicant, only then they will be able to get the benefit of this scheme.
  • The applicant should not have joint bank accounts.
  • The person applying under this scheme should not have a normal savings account in any bank.
  • An applicant must be pursuing engineering, architect or pharmacy.
  • The application should be given after qualifying GATE/GPAT for admission to the college.
  • OBC category students will not be eligible to get the benefit of this scholarship.
  •   Such students will not be eligible for GATE/GPAT scholarship, who are not eligible candidates under SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Physically Handicapped who do not have authentic certificates.
  • In addition, the scholarship will be awarded at the commencement of post graduate classes.
  • The GATE/GPAT scholarship will be disbursed for a maximum period of 24 months or till the completion of the course, from the date of submission of thesis, whichever is earlier.

Documents Required for AICTE PG Scholarship

  • Documents in support of SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Physically Handicapped certificate should be attested by the Principal of the Institution or a Gazetted Officer.
  • SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/Physically Handicapped certificate should be in Hindi/English otherwise it should be translated and attested in Hindi/English by Notary Officer or Principal on the letter head of the institution. Both the original and translated certificates should be uploaded by the student.
  • Recent authentic non-creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates
  • All other enclosures to be self-attested by the candidate
  • Under this, only clear and legible attachments will be accepted as essential attachments.

Stipend Amount under AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme

The following amount will be provided as scholarship to the beneficiaries through the AICTE PG Scholarship Scheme launched by the post-graduation concerned authorities of the Government of India:-

  • A stipend of 12,400 will be provided to all the eligible students of this scheme every month for a period of 2 years or till the completion of the course.
  • Along with this, an amount of Rs 20,000 will also be provided as a contingency grant to all the beneficiary students as per the scholarship notification.
