Objective of KALIA Scholarship Scheme

- Students desirous of availing this Odisha State Government Scholarship will be required to have an active valid account with a scheduled bank which also has electronic clearing system or core banking facilities.
- Under this scholarship, only such students will be considered eligible who have a bank account in their own name.
- Applicant students will be required to enter the details of Bank and Branch Name, Savings Bank Account Number and IFSC Code carefully while filling the application form.

- Under this scholarship, the department is going to provide user ID and password to the head of the institution for online verification of applications.
- It is the responsibility of the head of the institution to verify all the information provided by the applicant students, thereby ensuring the genuineness of the student.
- It is necessary to verify the name of the parents by the head of the institution with the help of the high school certificate of the beneficiary applicant students.
- Under this scholarship, the head of the institution also verifies the status of the day student or hostel student.
- The head of the concerned institution also ensures whether the applicant student is getting scholarship under any other scheme or not.
Responsibilities Of The Head Of The Institution
- After verifying the applications under KALIA Scholarship Scheme, the head of the institution forwards these verified applications to the Chief District Agriculture Officer.
- If applicants make double applications for this scholarship, then in this situation only one record will be certified and the other will be rejected.

Implementation of KALIA Scholarship Scheme
- In case of refund and penalties in different situations, institutions shall follow the guidelines of the concerned department.
- Rs. 1200 per month and Rs. 1000 per month for 10 months will be provided to the students who are pursuing degree and diploma polytechnic courses as per the guidelines of different categories department.
- The scholarship which has been sanctioned by the government should be led to cancellation if found any mislead or false in statement by the beneficiary.
- State level committee and district level committee under the Kalia Yojana will review and monitor the implementation of this scheme.
