Facilities Provided Under National Education Policy
- Under this new policy, it will be necessary for all schools to take care that mid-day meal is provided to every student with quality.
- Along with this, care should also be taken that the students do not need to bring a lunchbox, and the facility of clean water should also be available in the schools.
- If students do not have to carry a lunchbox and water bottle with them, it will reduce the size of their school bag.
- The class time table in all schools should also be such that the weight of the school bag can be reduced.
- In addition the weight details of all books should be printed on the top of the books by the publishers. So that when choosing school books they should also keep in mind the weight.
- Homework given to children has also been taken care of under this new policy. As such no homework will be given to the children till the second grade.
- First and second grade students are not used to sitting for so long and they are very small. Due to which he is unable to do homework.
- Under the National Education Policy (NEP), students who are studying in class III, IV and V. They should be given only 2 hours of homework in a week.
- Children who are studying in class VI, VII and VIII will be given 1 hour of homework every day.
- All the students studying in class 9th to 12th will be given 2 hours of homework every day.
Benefits and Features of National Education Policy
- The Education Policy has been amended by the Ministry of Human Resource Management, which has been completed under the chairmanship of ISRO Chief Dr. K. Kasturirangan.
- To release the new policy by replacing the old policy, 6% of GDP will be spent by the Government of India.
