Objective of Punjab Pension Scheme
Punjab Pension Scheme has been started by the Punjab Government with the objective of providing financial funds to all such citizens of Punjab for their daily expenses. Through this pension will be provided to all the disabled persons, through this they will not have to depend on any other person to live their life, they can meet their expenses through pension only. Punjab Pension Scheme Benefits
- Financial security will be provided to old citizens, widows and disabled persons through this scheme.
- After successful verification of the applicant, the amount of pension will be disbursed in the bank account of the beneficiary.
- The beneficiary’s bank account should be linked with Aadhar card if you want to get pension.

Eligibility criteria
If you want to apply under Punjab Pension Scheme then it is mandatory to fulfil the following important eligibility criteria for the following pension scheme:-
Financial assistance to dependent children Scheme
- Age of the child should be below 21 years. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- The family total annual income should be Rs. 60,000 including business, rental or interest income.
- Only those children can take the benefit of this scheme whose mother/have become physically or mentally incapable to look after financial needs /father or both have passed away / parents are regularly absent from the home
Old-age pension scheme
- The age of the female applicant should be 58 years or more. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- Applicant having maximum 2.5-acre chahi land and maximum 5-acre barani land ownership or 5-acre land in waterlogged area
- The male age applicant should be 65 years or more.
- Total annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs 60000 which includes business or rental or interest income per the report of the revenue department.
Financial assistance to widows and destitute women Scheme
- The age of widow applicant should be below 50 years, If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- Unmarried women age is are 30 years, if the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- The total annual income of the applicant should be Rs 60000 or less.
Financial assistance to persons with disability Scheme
- Citizens who have more than 50% disability will be able to take benefit of this scheme.
- Annual income of the applicant should not be more than Rs 60000.

- The minimum age to apply under the scheme is 60 years, if the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- Applicants who belong to below poverty line category
- Person covered in socio-economic caste census 2011.

- Poverty line category those persons who are covered in socio-economic caste census 2011
- Minimum age to apply under the scheme is 18 years. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- Disability level should be 80% or more dwarfs citizens also apply.
Financial assistance to acid victims Scheme
- The acid attack victim must be a resident of Punjab
- A medical certificate issued by the civil surgeon along with an application
- Applicant is required to submit the application to the district social security office
Indira Gandhi National widow pension scheme
- Minimum age to apply under the scheme 40 years. If the age of the interested applicant is more than that then he/she cannot apply.
- Applicant should belong to below poverty line category.
- Those persons who are covered in socio-economic caste census 2011.
