Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme 2024
All the citizens of the state who belong to the Golla and Kurma castes will be provided a subsidy of 75% on the purchase price of sheep through the Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme. The scheme has been launched by the Telangana state minister to promote the economic advancement of the underprivileged population, moreover the first phase of the scheme was halted last year due to the widespread coronavirus pandemic. Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme 2024 first phase has been instructed by the Chief Minister of Telangana state to start again. Objectives of Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme
The main objective of the Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme 2024 is to provide financial assistance to the Gola and Kurma community. The Gola and Kurma communities of the state are economically disadvantaged groups, all citizens of these communities experience a lot of discrimination and other issues. Second Phase
Seeing the success of the previous phase, the second phase of sheep distribution has been started by the state government. The cost of sheep units has increased from Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.75 lakh due to increased cost of gasoline. Under this, the second phase of implementation begins in 2021-22 and 2022-23, the government has set a target of covering 3.50 million people in phase 2. First Phase
The first phase of Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme has been started by the state government on January 16, in Nalgonda, the government has sought draft in 28,335 applications. Apart from this, 360 sheep units have been provided to the eligible citizens of the state, a budget allocation of Rs 4210 crore was made in the state in 2019. Benefits of Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme
- The first phase of the Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme will be launched by the state government on 16 January in Nalgonda.
- Under this, about 28,335 applications have been sought by the government after the delay due to the outbreak of Coronavirus.
- Around 360 sheep units will be distributed to those citizens, members of the Golla Kurma community will be provided with lambs by the authorities through this scheme.
- Additionally Rs 4210 crore will be allocated in the 2019 state budget. Registered persons can verify their profile on the recipient list by logging in for the first part of the sheep package on the official website.
- The announcement to start the Telangana Sheep Distribution Scheme 2024 was made on 20 June by the Chief Minister of the state, Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
- Sheep will be distributed through this scheme to the citizens of the community of Golla and Kurma.
- Apart from this, 75% will be paid by the state government and 25% by the recipient. On January 16, this scheme was started in Nalgonda.
