WB Samudra Sathi Scheme 2024 Announced in Bengal Budget

To address the challenges faced by fishermen in Bengal, the state budget introduced the Samudra Sathi Scheme. Minister of State for Finance Chandrima Bhattacharya highlighted the initiative during the budget presentation, noting the difficulties fishermen encounter from April to mid-June due to unfavorable weather conditions preventing sea excursions.
