The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign has been started by the Central Government to make the day of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence even more memorable. What is Flag Code?

The Code of the National Flag of India is a set of laws, practices and conventions that apply to the display of the national flag. According to which any citizen can hoist the flag. If said in simple language, in this code there is a legal rule related to its national flag, which every citizen has to keep in mind while hoisting it. The Flag Code of India, 2002 is divided into three parts:-

  • Part 1 – General description of the national flag.
  • Part 2 – Dedicated to the display of the national flag by members of public, private organizations, educational institutions etc.
  • Part 3 – Deals with the display of the National Flag by the Union and State Governments and their organizations and agencies.

In these three parts, all kinds of rules related to the flag code have been discussed. According to which every resident of the country should hoist his national flag.
