During the program organized at Sankardev Kalakshetra Auditorium, Dispur, 6,670 scooters were distributed to “community cadres” under the Assam Sakhi Express Scheme 2024 by State Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Under the Sakhi Express Scheme Assam launched by the Assam government, 6,670 scooters have been allotted to “community cadres” for the financial year 2021-22. In the financial year 2020-21, the state government distributed a total of 4,238 scooters to community workers through the Sakhi Express Scheme under the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, taking the total number of scooters distributed so far to 10,908. Under the Assam Sakhi Express Scheme 2024, “Krishi Sakhi”, “Bima Sakhi”, “Pashu Sakhi”, “Jeevika Sakhi” will be benefited as beneficiaries. Objective of Sakhi Express Scheme

The main objective of Assam Sakhi Express Scheme 2024 launched by Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma is to benefit women-run self-help groups of the state by providing them scooters. This scheme has been started by the state government under the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, under which scooters are provided to Sakhis. Beneficiary Sakhis can make women aware about the importance of gaining control over their financial situations by using these scooters. Simultaneously, with the help of these scooters, Sakhis will also be able to educate the SHG members about the vast market opportunities presented by technological developments in the 21st century. Through the Assam Sakhi Express Scheme, the state of Assam will also be helped to become one of the highest per capita GDP states. Benefits and Features of Jeevika Sakhi Express Scheme

  • Jeevika Sakhi Express Scheme has been started by the Assam State Government under the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission.
  • For the financial year 2021-22, this scheme was started by the State Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at an event organized in Dispur on Sunday 21st August.
  • Under the scheme of the state government, women-run self-help groups of the state are benefitted by providing scooters.
  • Through this scheme, distribution of 6,670 scooters was allocated among the community cadres for the financial year 2021-22 in the event.
  • The state government had allotted a total of 4,238 scooters in the financial year 2020-21 through the “Jeevika Sakhi Express” scheme under the Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission.

It is mandatory for the candidates to fulfill some essential eligibility criteria related to that scheme in order to get the benefits under any government scheme. Similarly, such candidates who want to get the benefits under the Sakhi Express Scheme Assam started by the Government of Assam, it will be mandatory for them to fulfill the following eligibility criteria set by the state government:-

  • To get the benefits of Assam Sakhi Express Scheme 2024, the applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
  • Applicant must be a woman citizen of Assam who is a worker of women-run self-help group.

  • Your application form will now be processed and carried out, after which you will be informed whether your form has been accepted or not.
