TS Driver Empowerment Programme 2024
Under the Driver Empowerment Programme launched by the Telangana State Government, driver citizens of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minority communities and backward classes of the state will be benefited. To empower the drivers of Telangana state through this scheme, the state government will provide them financial assistance to buy vehicles. The Government of Telangana has started this scheme in association with Maruti Motors, Uber and State Bank of India. Through this scheme, the state government will provide a 50% subsidy of Rs 1.5 lakh to the drivers for buying auto-rickshaws. Objectives of Telangana Driver Empowerment Programme
The main objective of the Driver Empowerment Programme 2024 launched by the Telangana State Government is to empower the drivers of the state. Through this scheme, drivers belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, minority communities and backward communities of the state will be benefitted. Through this scheme, a financial assistance of Rs 1.5 lakh or a subsidy of 50% will be provided by the state government to the eligible drivers on the purchase of auto rickshaws. Under this scheme, skill enhancement training will also be provided to such eligible young citizens of the state who are willing to make driving their profession.
