West Bengal Laxmi Bhandar scheme launched by the state government was part of the election manifesto of the Trinamool Congress. For the successful implementation of WB Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme, the central government has allocated a budget of Rs. 12900. Apart from this, database has been prepared for about 33 lakh eligible beneficiaries of other social security schemes through the government. We all know that there are many families who do not have the basic income to run their activities, and this creates a lot of problems for them to live their life. Keeping this problem in mind, the Government of West Bengal has made a new scheme which is known as Laxmi Bhandar Scheme. Benefits & Features of WB Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme
- A new scheme has been made by the Government of West Bengal for the welfare of the female head of the family. The name of this scheme is WB Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme.
- Under this Lakshmi Bhandar Scheme 2024, financial assistance of Rs. 500 rupees will be given to the women of general category, also Rs. 1000 rupees will be given to the women of SC ST category.
- This scheme will help in providing financial assistance for carrying out the day to day activities of the women.
- 1.6 crore beneficiaries will be given the benefit of this scheme by the West Bengal government.
